In the first week of August, we were delighted to welcome five students of journalism from the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) on fieldwork in Yungay. The students had a productive and enjoyable week: they interviewed survivors and local tour guides, visited the Yungay memoral site and went up into the mountains. They are currently working on a documentary and two long-form articles, which we look forward to seeing soon. Watch this space!
